Yuka

I have enjoyed dance since I was a child in Japan. I began with Japanese dance, and later moved into ballet, jazz, and hip hop. I wouldn't fully realize my true interest until adulthood – partner dance. I loved watching people dancing together and decided to pursue that path through International Ballroom competition. I practiced and competed for several years before moving to the United States.

I began the path to becoming the instructor I am today within the first month upon arriving here. I wanted to continue my love of partner dance – Salsa and Swing seemed the ideal genres to continue my passion. I started group classes in both, eventually joining a Salsa Performance Team based out of L.A. The rest is, as they say, history!

Today, 10 years and many hundreds of students later, I still can't get enough dance! I teach all styles of dance to children, older adults, and all ages in between. I have recently begun teaching Zumba as a way to diversify my love of dance and music.
