- you are very knowlegdable and have competition experience
- you keep the class challenging for everyone in class -- without overwhelming people new to dance, nor limiting the more skilled students
- its FUN... you keep things light and enjoyable - no "criticisms" or pointing out one person not getting it
- you rotate partners -- this is SO important I think -- men can't learn to lead, nor women to follow without changing partners
- you encourage students to help each other - makes for a friendly vibe in class
- you build up knowledge week by week, so students can see improvement and not do the same thing over and over
- you do a good warmup/review of basics and last week's learning
- you show students how cool what they are going to learn looks like --- so they have something to aspire to -- and you use students in class who know how -- so other students see that they can get there too
- and last but not least... you are a sweetheart with everyone!! Your smile, energy, laugh, and fun all make class a pleasure to come to. Everyone feels welcome and knows they'll have a good time in your class. "
